Welcome to Pneumatikoi and thanks for visiting.
Pneumatikoi is a collection of accounts of revivals over the centuries. The name comes from what Paul calls, “those of the Spirit”. The Holy Spirit is the foundation of all true revival, he is the one who quickens and breathes life into us.
Revival in our day is the great hope and prayer of the church. As you read the stories of revivals and the revivalists who led them, our prayer is that your desire will grow to seek God for revival today.
We are based in Scotland so we've started with our own ‘home-grown’ Scottish revivalists and revivals. Over the next few months we’ll be adding to this with revival stories from other nations. The Spirit of God knows no borders or boundaries, his glory will cover the world ‘as the waters cover the sea’.
“For things when they are past are not dead to us, but live and act upon our condition in a thousand ways. They live in memory and go to compose all our knowledge and experience and wisdom, and they affect us with repentance and remorse, or with joy and self-complacency, according to their character of good or ill: they prepare us for the present by the habits they engender and for that future by the resolutions to which they give birth.”
